The straight flute plug tap features laseretched size markings for longterm legibility and a black oxide finish to provide corrosion resistance. A square shank interface ensures compatibility with standard tap handles and tap wrenches, and the plug tap geometry is intended for throughhole threading operations. Designed for durability, MILWAUKEE straight flute plug taps are suitable for threading common metals such as brass, aluminum, and mild steel. The included drill bit is designed for use with drill drivers. Cutting fluid is recommended for optimal performance.
