Complete Assembly Includes:

• Tension Stud/Shaft The central rod that holds the internal release pin
• Tension Discs Two metal discs positioned convex side to convex side to create the thread path
• Check Spring / Take-Up Spring (Part #7141) Controls thread slack during stitch formation. Also available separately in our store.
• Tension Spring and Cup Heavy coil spring and metal housing that provides clamping pressure on the thread
• Adjusting Nut/Dial Original Bakelite knob used to set the tension level
• Internal Release Pin Small metal pin that automatically releases tension when the presser foot is lifted

Inconsistent tension, thread breakage, or a seized tension dial are telltale signs this assembly needs attention.
