About This Part

Genuine original straight stitch presser foot for Kenmore Super High Shank sewing machines. These feet are no longer manufactured and are increasingly rare sourced from vintage machines and available in limited quantities.

The straight stitch foot features a small, precise needle opening designed for straight stitching only. Because the opening is so narrow, it is critical to order the correct version for your machine’s needle homing position using the wrong foot will cause the needle to strike the foot and can damage your machine.

How to Identify Your Needle Homing Position

Before ordering, set your machine to a standard straight stitch with the stitch width at zero, then observe where the needle sits:

• Center Homing: The needle sits directly in the middle of the needle plate. The needle opening on this foot is positioned in line with or slightly to the right of the shank.
• Left Homing: The needle sits slightly to the left of center. The needle opening on this foot is positioned to the left of the shank. Left homing feet are rarer and harder to find.
