Description

Replacement tension release lever Part #43944, also known as a tension release fork. Installs in the upper tension assembly and disengages thread tension when the presser foot is lifted, allowing thread to pull through freely for rethreading or fabric removal.

On some vintage models this part includes a spring and pin as part of the sub-assembly.

When to Replace

• Thread tension doesn’t release when presser foot is lifted
• Difficulty removing fabric with presser foot up
• Thread binding when pulling through
• Visible wear, bending, or damage to the existing lever
